install dependencies

$ npm install -g npm@latest
$ npm install -g bower gulp

move to wordpress theme directory

$ git clone https://github.com/roots/sage.git theme-name
$ cd theme-name
$ npm install
$ bower install
$ gulp

Variante (Gromf) [Sage Fork mit Foundation ]

$ git clone https://github.com/schikulski/Gromf.git theme-name
$ cd theme-name
$ npm install
$ bower install
$ gulp
